The 5th annual Muscatatuck River Music Festival opens its gates at Muscatatuck Park at 5:00 pm this Friday, May 8.
Food vendors Kingpin’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que, Coco Bongos Tropical Drinks, Bobby G’s Pit Stop, Pizza Kingdom, Kountry Kids Kettle Korn, It’s a Wrap, Your Daily Grind Coffee House, and the Budweiser Beer Garden will be open for dinner.
Music starts at 7:00 pm with Jasper, Indiana natives Intentions to Break, followed by The Early Evening, Rusty Bladen and the Bar Room Heroes, and national touring artists Murder by Death, self described as “rocking Americana noir and dramatic post-punk”.

Advance tickets are good for both days and will be available for $10 through Thursday, May 7. Tickets will be $15 at the gate. Kids 12 and under get in free. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Visitor Center at Muscatatuck Park, and a full list of ticket outlets can be found at the festival’s website, www.muscatatuckmusic.com.
Saturday the gates open at 10:00. A 50/50 cornhole tournament to benefit the Friends of the Muscatatuck River Society will be held at 11:00 am, and teams may register outside the main gate from 9:30 – 10:30 am. The cost to enter is $60 per team and includes festival admission.
Music begins at 11:00 with Kolassin K and the Two Ton Twos, followed by The Luckies, Younger Brother, Concept, Code Blue, Surrender Dorothy, Stereo Deluxe, Sweet Dilemma, Pictures of Then, and ending with national touring artist David McMillin.
